BRENHAM NATIVE RECEIVES FUNERAL DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD

  

Erin Camille Giese of the Memorial Funeral Home in Bryan, received what is considered the top award in the state for her industry.

Giese received the Director of the Year award during the annual meeting of the Southeast Texas Funeral Directions Association held in Kemah.

Giese, who grew up in Brenham, is a second-generation funeral director, graduated from Commonwealth College of Mortuary Science in Houston, and has been a member of the funeral directors associations since 1991.

She completed her apprenticeship at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball and continued on at the Funeral Home for ten years before moving to Bryan.

She has also served as a past president and member of the board.
