BRYAN MAN DIES IN WRECK NEAR FRANKLIN
Authorities have identified the man killed in an accident between a pickup truck and a semi-tractor-trailer on Highway 79 near Franklin Friday.
48 year old Michael Edward Fletcher of Bryan, the driver of the pickup truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened shortly after 6 o’clock Friday morning on U.S. Highway 79 three miles south of Franklin. Fletcher’s pickup truck was travelling north on 79 when it crossed into the southbound lane and struck the semi head on.
The driver of the semi was transported to St. Joseph hospital in Bryan in serious condition.
