CUBS CELEBRATE VETERANS–SHUT OUT RUDDER

The Brenham Cubs erupted for seven runs in two innings to blow open a close game and roll to a 9-0 win over Rudder, Tuesday night at Firemen’s Park.

A four-run fifth inning, keyed by a two-run double by Jake Olson broke open the game.  Olson’s first-inning single got the Cubs (18-8/3-6) on the board.

Ethan Aschenbeck went the distance to pick up his fourth win of the season.  Aschenbeck shut out the Rangers (2-7) on three hits and struck out eight.

Prior to the game, the Cubs honored local veterans with their annual Veterans Night.  The team was joined on the field by the local veterans for the first pitch and National Anthem.
