CUBS FB SOPH ERIC HEMPHILL FEATURED BY ‘DCTF’ WEBSITE

The bible of Texas high school football, Dave Campbell’s Texas Football is highlighting a Brenham High School underclassman.

A feature on sophomore defensive back Eric Hemphill, includes an interview with the ‘electric’ Cubs youngster.

In the feature, Hemphill says he feels his biggest asset, at this point, is his speed (4.5).  He adds that his favorite parts of the game are picking off passes and returning kickoffs.

Hemphill also cited the tradition of Brenham Cubs’ football, mentioning NFL standouts and Cub alums, Courtland Sutton and Malcom Brown.

DCTF analyst Greg Powers says Hemphill, “Brings a little bit of everything to the table.   What I really think stands out, is when the game is on the line…Hemphill is a guy you can count on.”

As for recruiting: “He’s a guy that can really explode as colleges get a look at him.”
