Harmonie Hall in Shelby will have its annual Fourth of July dance on July 3rd from 8 p.m. until midnight. Tickets are $10 with only 250 tickets sold. Harmonie Hall is located in Shelby at 509 FM 389 West. There will be a cash bar available, and no outside coolers are allowed.

Elizabeth Lutheran Church in Caldwell will be hosting its 24th Annual July 3rd Celebration with a firework show. The show will begin at 9:30 p.m. Parking at the event is located across from the church at County Road 307 and available school parking lots.

Lee County Sheriff’s Posse Arena will host Fury on the 4th beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Gates open at 5 p.m. Tickets will be $20 for adults, kids aged 7-12 will be $5, and kids six and under are free.

Navasota Freedom Festival will take place Saturday in downtown Navasota beginning at 11 a.m. with a parade and concluding with fireworks at 9 p.m. The day will also feature live music, a cornhole tournament, and food and shopping vendors. KTEX-106’s Blake Hickerson will be in Navasota Saturday morning, broadcasting live from the friendly country cruiser.

Burton American Legion is hosting its annual 4th of July Picnic, with changes, making it a drive-thru only. Meals are $13 and will be served from 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will consist of pork and beef barbeque, potato salad, coleslaw, beans, bread, and dessert.

Independence will hold its annual 4th of July celebration but will be limited to only a firework show beginning at 9 p.m. this year. The fireworks will be at the Antique Rose Emporium but can be seen for surrounding miles.

The Texas A&M University System will host a drive-in style firework show at the RELLIS Campus in Bryan on the 4th of July. Parking will open at 7:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 9 p.m. The event will also be featured on KBTX-TV for those that are unable to attend in-person.

The annual Round Top Independence Day celebration will kick off at 10 a.m. and will feature many activities, including the firing of the town’s cannon, a parade of 60 entries, a meal served by Round Top Rifle Hall of barbeque chicken and smoked sausage, and music throughout the afternoon, and other activities. The event will be slightly different than previously, with all children’s activities canceled and parade participants asked not to throw out candy or other items to spectators. There will be a drive-thru option available for those that wish to remain in their vehicle, and sanitation stations will be available on the grounds. KTEX-106’s Cactus Ken Murray will be broadcasting live in Round Top the morning of the 4th from the friendly country cruiser.

As a reminder, starting at 9 p.m. the night of the Fourth of July, KTEX-106 will air a special “Texas 12 in a Row” featuring patriotic songs to go along with the various fireworks displays in the area. The program is sponsored by Budweiser – Mike Hopkins Distributing.

KWHI hopes everyone has a happy and safe Fourth of July.

  1. Yay 🙂 I’m excited to celebrate the Fourth as we always have. Congrats to these people who stood their ground and still put on fireworks shows or parades. We need it to lift our spirits because there has been nothing to look forward to lately. This is important and special! Happy Fourth Everyone!!!!!!

      1. Don’t know where you heard that, but the Country Club confirmed they are having the fireworks at dark thirty.

    1. You must remember no crowds larger than 100 and it may have cut it down to even small small numbers and Gatherings outside so fine stay home stay safe if you go out remember one warning and then a $250 fine for not wearing a mask

    2. Checked @ 10:25am 7/3/2020 and Brenham Country Club IS having fireworks at Dusk on 7/4/2020. Country Clubs # 979-836-1733 if you want to check tomorrow(4th) if that has changed.

  2. Too bad the cities cancelled events. But that what is so nice about small towns; they keep the charm. I have fiends from all over Texas coming to Round Top! No one is stopping us from throwing a party! ? ?????????????
