GRIMES CO. EMS COMMITTEE ADDRESSES CONCERNS, STATIONING OF UNITS AT MEETING

Grimes County’s EMS Committee recently met to discuss public concerns and stationing of units, as the county will soon have a fourth ambulance stationed in the area.

The committee conducted a public town hall to hear from the public regarding its acquisition of a fourth ambulance, which is scheduled to be in commission in Navasota by August 1.  Many questions from the public were directed towards the lengthy response times of units, and how that would affect the staging of units in the county moving forward.

Committee members said that Grimes County 911 is continuing to map call data from the past year, and that all data needs to be considered before making requests for placement of the current ambulances.

The EMS Committee will hold its next regular meeting at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 20th, at Citizens State Bank in Navasota.
