A training session for local organization that helps victims of sex trafficking is set for next week.
Hope Rising Ministries will host a “Hands that Heal” certification training course, Wednesday through Saturday next week at their offices at 504 E. 6th Street.
Hope Rising officials say the session will provide a comprehensive approach to helping victims of sex trafficking. It will also educate caregivers on how to provide effective care and support.
Especially encouraged to attend are: foster parents, respite caregivers, volunteers, therapists, equine specialists, prevention specialists, mentors and teachers.
Rachael Hall of Hope Rising said the need for certified volunteers throughout the entire region is great.
The program will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
The cost of the program is $185 per person. Registration is available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/hope-rising-hands-that-heal-certification-training-july-24-27-2019-tickets-62599274114.
