KWHI TO HOST “CANDIDATES’ FORUM” OCTOBER 17TH
KWHI has announced plans to hold a “Candidates’ Forum” for the two locally contested races in the November 6th General Election.
The candidates for Washington County Commissioner of Precinct Two and for State Representative of District 13 have been invited to the Forum, set for next Wednesday, October 17th at 5:30 p.m. at Brenham National Bank.
Democratic candidate for County Commissioner Ira Joe Newsome, along with Republican candidate Candice Bullock, have both agreed to attend the Forum.
In the race for State Representative of District 13, Democrat Cecil Webster will attend, but Republican candidate Ben Leman’s office has indicated that he will be busy with meetings in Austin. Leman is serving as District 13th State Representative after winning a special election in May.
KWHI’s Ed Pothul will moderate the Candidate’s Forum, and will take questions from those in attendance at Brenham National Bank, from the News Media, and from emails sent to mail@kwhi.com.
Next Wednesday’s Forum will be broadcast live on KWHI AM 1280 and FM 101.7, and streamed live on kwhi.com and on the KWHI mobile app.
