LOCAL MAN SENTENCED FOR CATTLE THEFT

An Old Washington man has been sentenced in a local cattle theft case.

25-year old Boysie Deleon Cole, III of Washington was sentenced to six years in prison for cattle thefts reported in the area earlier this year.

Cole was convicted of Theft of Cattle/Less than $150,000, which is a Second Degree Felony.

Cole was also given time served for a charge of Theft of Property Between $2,500-and-$30,000.

Also sentenced in District Court, Thursday:

21-year old Daijia Nicole Bell of Spring, had her probation revoked for a 2017 case of Tampering with Physical Evidence – a Third Degree Felony.  She was sentenced to 3 years in prison and fined $913.00.

18-year old Harry Goffney of Houston, had his probation revoked and was sentenced to eight months in prison for a December conviction for Theft of a Firearm – a State Jail Felony.  He was also fined $200.

37-year old Wendy Lynn Meyer of Brenham, was placed on six years’ probation for a 2017 case of Possession of Controlled Substance –  a Third Degree Felony.  Meyer was also fined $1500 and ordered to perform 150 hours of Community Service.

19-year old Jamikal Traedaryus Rush of Washington, was placed on four years’ probation for a July arrest for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle – a State Jail Felony.  Rush was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 200 hours of Community Service.

And, 24-year old Kristian Rashae Hood of Houston, received three years’ probation for Possession of Controlled Substance – a State Jail Felony.  Hood was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 200 hours of Community Service.
