SCHOOL BOARD TO VOTE ON BUDGET/TAX RATE MONDAY

  

Adoption of the budget and tax rate for the coming school year is on the agenda for Monday night’s meeting of the Brenham School Board.

At their meeting two weeks ago, trustees set the proposed tax rate at $1.0458 per hundred dollars valuation, with 96.5-cents for maintenance and operations and 8-cents for the interest and sinking fund.  The school board also tentatively agreed on a budget of 47.8 million dollars.

Also at Monday night’s meeting, the board will also get an overview on the district’s COVID-19 campus preparations as the opening of the 2020-21 school year quickly approaches.

The board will also get a summer school update and review bids for fuel for the coming school year.
