STAMP DEDICATED TO FORMER PRESIDENT BUSH
A large crowd was on hand Wednesday, including family and friends of former president George H.W. Bush, at the unveiling of the 41st president’s Forever stamp.
The U.S. Postal Service held a First Day of Issue Dedication Ceremony Wednesday at the Bush Presidential Library and Museum at Texas A&M.
Those in attendance praised the former president for his gift of writing letters.
The Forever Stamp is worth 55 cents and costs $11 for a sheet of 20. It features a portrait of the president, based it on a photo from 1997.
Bush died Nov. 30 and was buried alongside his wife, Barbara, and their daughter Robin on the grounds at the Bush Library.
