TWO ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES IN BRENHAM

Two Brenham individuals have been arrested on drug charges.

Cindy Kelly (Washington Co. Jail)

Sunday, around 3:30 p.m., Washington County Deputy Chris Garcia conducted a traffic stop around the 600 block of FM 1948.  The driver, 43-year-old Cindy Marie Kelly, was found to have a suspended driver’s license, and her passenger, 42-year-old Don Alfred Boyce, had an outstanding traffic warrant.

While searching the vehicle, Deputy Garcia found a bag containing methamphetamines, a small amount of marijuana, and a handful of meth pipes.  Both subjects were taken to the Washington County Jail, where they were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance—a second degree felony—and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Don Boyce (Washington Co. Jail)

Both remain in custody with bonds at $51,000 for Kelly, and $52,000 for Boyce.  Boyce is also being held on a parole violation warrant.
