“UPTOWN SWIRL” COMING TO DOWNTOWN BRENHAM THIS WEEKEND

It’s nearly “Uptown Swirl” time in downtown Brenham.

The annual wine walk, presented by Main Street Brenham, invites guests to stroll through downtown and sample a variety of wines at over two dozen businesses and locations. This year’s “Uptown Swirl” is set for Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m., rain or shine.

Commemorative wine glasses serve as tickets for the event, and can be purchased for $40. City of Brenham Tourism and Marketing Director Jennifer Eckermann says those glasses are the ticket to all kinds of wines from around the world.

Eckermann says attendees will have a great variety of stores to visit through downtown, from old favorites to up-and-comers.

Glasses are on sale both at downtown businesses and online at www.downtownbrenham.com/swirl.  They can be picked up from any participating store, or the day of the event at the Washington County Courthouse Gazebo.

There are currently 27 businesses participating in the “Uptown Swirl”, including:

Timeless Designs Market, Organic Hemp Botanicals, Ballad of the Bird Dog, Brenham Fine Arts League/Downtown Art Gallery, Branded Boutique, Woman’s Cave, The Pomegranate, The Gunnery, Scrubs N Stuff, Puppy Dawgs and Cat Tails, Board and Brush Creative Studio, Tres Chic Boutique, Tribal Trends, the Brenham/Washington County Visitor Center, The Canyon Chick, Peter Emerson – Silversmith, Must Be Heaven, Hermann Furniture, Anatomy Clothing Boutique, Ant Street Inn, The Book Nook, Brunmillers Soapworks, Sweet Repeats, the Brenham Heritage Museum Bus Depot, The Southern Fox, Today and Yesterday, and Tegg Art Studio.
