WASHINGTON CO. CHAMBER SEEKING NEW P.E.A.C.E. MEMBERS

The Washington County Chamber is looking for new P.E.A.C.E. program members to kick off the new school year.

Washington County’s Chamber was the first in the nation to implement the Public Education Ambassadors for Community Engagement (P.E.A.C.E.) program, in the 2017-18 school year.  The program provides a way for businesses to join in efforts to strengthen public schools and contribute to development of students.

The program begins in August, with Brenham and Burton ISD—along with Brenham GameChangers—promoting core values and ideals in schools.  New members of P.E.A.C.E. will be given tools and programs to use at their businesses, to help further character development in students.

Membership for Washington County’s P.E.A.C.E. program is $50 for the school year, which also covers other employees for any business owners.

For more information about the program, contact Chamber Business Programs Manager Shae Janner at 979-836-3695, or shae@brenhamtexas.com.  The Chamber asks that interested parties reply by July 27.
