WCHLA HOSTING FUNDRAISER
The Washington County Healthy Living Association is planning a fund raiser to help operate its Margaret E. Blizzard Senior Activity Center.
The fundraiser is being planned to help with operational costs at the center, which provides programs and hundreds of meals to senior citizens.
Dr. Gary Appelt, a member of the board of directors says they’re attempting to raise $20,000—or more.
The fundraiser which includes a fish fry, beer and wine, Bingo games and a “bucket draw, will be held Thursday, Nov. 14 from 6-9 p.m. at the center, located at 1301 East Tom Green St.
Donations are being solicited for prizes, food for the fundraiser and operation of the center. Appelt said the center depends on donations for expenses like utilities.

I hope the community & neighboring counties turn out generously for this. The center is the daily gathering for our senior citizens . Brenham is lucky to have this. Let’s all support it & attend the event on November 14th & donate beforehand.
