BRENHAM POLICE MAKE NUMEROUS DRUG ARRESTS OVER THE WEEKEND
Brenham Police report a number of drug possession arrests over the weekend.
Friday morning, two 14-year olds were stopped in the 700 block of West First St. after a report of juveniles smoking marijuana.
One admitted to having marijuana and was released to juvenile probation. The other was released to his mother’s custody.
A short time later, a Somerville man was arrested after he reportedly fell asleep at a traffic light.
Officer Sierra Newell was called to the 300 block of West Alamo just before noon, where a man had apparently fallen asleep in his vehicle at a red light.
25-year old Patrick Wayne Pleasant of Somerville war reportedly asleep while his vehicle was stopped at the light.
Pleasant was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Friday night, a Houston man was arrested on a drug possession charge.
Around 9:00 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Highway 290 West and FM 389 for a motorist assist.
During the stop, officers found narcotics. 23-year old John Humberto Garza was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Saturday night, K9 Officer Andrew Adams conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Highway 290 East.
During the stop, K9 partner Robbie, alerted to narcotics in the vehicle.
22-year old Arnulfo Eduardo Carrillo of Spring admitted to having marijuana and prescription narcotics in the car.
Carrillo is charged with Possession of marijuana and Possession of a controlled substance.
