DR. SMOKE WINS CHAMPION CHICKEN, OVERALL GO TEXAN BEST BBQ
The Washington County Go Texan team won big at the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Dr. Smoke won two honors- Champion Chicken and Overall Go-Texan Best BBQ at the competition on Saturday.
The team earned their place in the competition after placing first in the brisket competition and third in ribs at the Washington County Go Texan fundraiser event held in January.
The Austin County Go Texan team earned runner-up in the Overall Go-Texan Best BBQ competition.
Organizers of the event said the winners were chosen from 266 teams. To see a full list of winners, click here.
