FOUR DEAD IN GRIMES CO. ACCIDENTS

  

Four people are dead, following two separate traffic accidents in Grimes County, Sunday.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the first accident occurred just south of Navasota on highway six, Sunday morning at around 4 am.

Troopers say the driver of an SUV was traveling the wrong direction on the highway when it collided with 26-year-old Bethany Shockey.

Shockey was ejected from her vehicle after a third car ran into her.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.  Three others were taken to local hospitals.

The second collision occurred late Sunday afternoon on FM 149 east of 2562.

According to DPS, 21-year old Nicole Billnoske was killed when her vehicle was struck by two vehicles travelling in different directions.

Billnoske was reportedly travelling south on FM 2562 when she reportedly did not yield the right of way and was struck by two vehicles.  Billnoske was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers died in one of the other vehicles. 56-year-old Stephen Markowski of Bryan was pronounced dead at the scene.  66-year-old Kieth Donle, also of Bryan, was transported to the hospital where he died.
