SNOOK BOARD DISCUSSES FACILITIES
The Snook School Board is expected to make a decision soon on moving forward with a bond election.
The board has heard recommendations from the district’s Facility Committee, and is expected to make a decision in the near future.
The district’s financial advisor, LiveOak Public Finance will address the board at a special meeting, Monday night.
Superintendent Brenda Krchnak said that the committee’s recommendations include: expansion of the secondary school cafeteria’s fine arts facility; a career and technology classroom; renovations to the maintenance building, a sports complex—including a football and track stadium, softball field and tennis courts; covered bus parking and a parking lot along FM-2155.
Krchnak says if the board moves forward with a bond election, not all the items on the recommendation list would be guaranteed to be included.
She says the board will have a much better idea after Monday night’s meeting.
