WASHINGTON CO. MURDER UNDER INVESTIGATION
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office, DPS and Texas Rangers are investigating an overnight murder in rural Washington County.
Authorities were called out around 10:45 to a shooting in the 6400 block of Hummingbird Lane. At the scene, they discovered 31-year old Earnest Trevino Sr., had been shot once.
Trevino was taken to Scott & White Medical Center in Brenham, where he was pronounced dead.
Also responding to the scene was the DPS C.I.D. Unit.
According to Sheriff Otto Hanak, Washington County deputies and the Texas Rangers are currently questioning witnesses, family members and possible suspects.
No arrests have yet been made.

Oh my Lord..praying for Kirstin && the two lil ones..i work with her and we were just playing with him monday evening at work…so sad..my heart goes out to Kirstin..thats my girl..R.I.P ERNEST
So senseless and careless. Why didn’t you think of the kids that would be affected or all the other family members. Justice for Ernest and the babies!
My heart goes out to the grieving family especially his two tiny children. The lord says his grace is sufficient to carry us through in times like this. Let us lean on him now
