WATERMELON RUN FOR THE FALLEN, SATURDAY IN HEMPSTEAD
Hempstead will be hosting the 2017 Watermelon Run for the Fallen this Saturday.
The Watermelon Run is the nation’s largest 5K event dedicated to recognizing the sacrifice of military members as a result of current conflicts.
The event is set for Saturday morning at the Hempstead Football Field at 500 Donaho St., with activities getting underway at 6:30 a.m.
Events include: live music, sky divers, military displays, A&M rock climbing wall, artists, food and drinks.
