BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO 4 CALLS OVERNIGHT

The Brenham Fire Department had a busy evening Thursday, responding to 4 calls overnight.

The first call came in at 10:30 PM when they were dispatched for a reported Structure Fire at 300 Johnson Street. Brenham Fire units arrived and found a wall plug shorted out and caused the wall to get hot. Power was cut off to the plug and they removed the plug from the wall. No damage was reported to the residence.

Shortly after eleven o’clock, the department was dispatched for an Automatic Alarm at RR Donnely Company. FD units arrived and found the building had lost power causing the alarm to go off. A RR Donnely maintenance crew was on scene and was fixing the issue.

Just before 2:00 AM, firemen were dispatched for Automatic Alarm at a residence on Windy Drive.  They arrived and found a pot left on the stove. The doors and windows to the home were opened to remove light smoke from the structure. No damage was reported.

At 4:40 AM, the department was dispatched for a Transportation Incident with entrapment on Highway 36, north of Brenham. Units arrived and found the patient had been removed by EMS before firemen arrived. Brenham Fire Department units checked the car for leaking fluids and provided light for the investigation.
