7TH ANNUAL SCHULENBURG SAUSAGEFEST SATURDAY
The 7th Annual Schulenburg Sausagefest invites the public to a full day of food, music and fun tomorrow (Saturday) in downtown Schulenburg.
Some of the festivities that guests can look forward to include a fun run, arts and crafts, a biergarten, children’s activities, dancing in the street, the American Legion Black Bean Motorcycle Ride, and contests for wine, pickles, sauerkraut, hog-calling and sausage-tossing.
Schulenburg Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Terri Wagner says the city is excited to once again be able to host the event after a few years off.
The fun run kicks off the day at 9 a.m., followed by The Shortest Parade in Texas at 11:15 a.m. and a performance from the Schulenburg ISD Shorthorn Band at 11:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies will be held at 11:45 a.m.
Featured musical entertainment will be The Czechaholics, Mark Halata and Texavia, and Jarrod Birmingham.
