MINOR GIRLS, MAJOR BOYS RAINED OUT THURSDAY

MINOR GIRLS SOFTBALL IN BASTROP

Thursday's game between Washington County and Smithville was rained out. The tournament continues today (Friday) in Bastrop with a 6pm game (5:35pm pregame on KWHI).

If Washington County wins, they are the Sectional Champions. If Smithville wins, they will play one more winner take all game tomorrow (Saturday) at 6pm.

MAJOR BOYS BASEBALL IN BRYAN

The game between Lufkin and Northwest that was scheduled for yesterday (Thursday) was also postponed due to rain.

They will play tonight (Friday) in Bryan at 7pm in an elimination game. The winner moves on to face Washington County for the tournament championship tomorrow (Saturday).

The championship will begin at 3pm (2:35pm pregame on KWHI). If Washington County wins, they are the champions. If the Lufkin-Northwest winner beats Washington County, they would go to a deciding game 30 minutes after the conclusion of the 3pm game.
