BRENHAM, BURTON SCHOOLS REPORT INCREASED ENROLLMENT FROM BEGINNING OF CLASSES LAST YEAR

  

Early enrollment numbers for Brenham and Burton ISDs are up from the start of school last year.

Enrollment data provided by Brenham ISD shows the number of students across all seven campuses as of last week, the first full week of classes, totaled 4,764.  Burton ISD’s enrollment count for its two campuses added up to 585.

Both counts have increased from this time period a year ago, when Brenham ISD had approximately 4,689 students and Burton ISD had 532.

At individual campuses in Brenham, the high school reported the largest number of students this fall at 1,558.  Brenham Junior High School’s tally was 733, followed by Brenham Middle School at 711.  Krause Elementary School’s 650 students were the most of each of the elementary campuses, with Brenham Elementary School coming in at 525 and Alton Elementary School at 450.  The Early Childhood Learning Center reported 137 students. 

For Burton schools, the highest student totals come from Burton Elementary School, with 363 students in Pre-K through 6th grade.  Burton High School’s number of 7th through 12th grade students adds up to 222.
