BRENHAM POLICE ARREST TWO FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION
Two people face marijuana possession charges following their arrest by Brenham police.

Around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Officer Lauren Vieceli stopped a vehicle in the 2700 block of Highway 290 West for a vehicle violation. After a probable cause search, marijuana and a firearm were located inside of the vehicle. The driver, 22-year-old Tanner Kenneth Gill of Giddings, was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in for Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and Possession of Marijuana under 2oz.
Early this (Thursday) morning, just after midnight, Officer Vieceli conducted another traffic stop for a vehicle violation in the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street. Marijuana was found after a probable cause search of the vehicle. The front seat passenger, 19-year-old Daniel Velazuez of Channelview, was charged with Possession of Marijuana under 2oz. and taken to the Washington County Jail.
