Two people were arrested during the early afternoon hours on Wednesday after a Bellville Police dog helped lead officers to the discovery of numerous drugs in their vehicle.

Bellville Police Officer Solis made a traffic stop on East Hill Street, where he made contact with 33-year-old Guadalupe Morales Montoya and 32-year-old Bradley Wayne Hartshone, both of Waller.

Solis asked for consent to search their vehicle, and was denied. K-9 Officer Freude and his partner, Maggie, were called to the scene.

Maggie alerted Freude and Solis to the presence of drugs inside the vehicle.

A search was conducted, which led to the officers discovering over 75 grams of Black Tar Heroin, over 11 grams of methamphetamine, more than a gram each of Brown Heroin and Oxycontin, and just over half a gram of cocaine.
