The winner of this year’s Copper Star Award has made his choice of who will benefit from his generosity.

As the winner of the 2025 Copper Star Award, Robert Jensen was given an opportunity to make a donation of $1000, underwritten by PlanNorth, to a local nonprofit or charity of his choosing.

Jensen chose to make his donation to Friedens Church of Old Washington. Friedens is a historic, independent church in Old Washington that follows the German Evangelical tradition.

He was proud to make the donation to the church as his great grandfather was one of the founding members of Friedens in 1890.

Jensen received the Copper Star Award back in September. The Award is sponsored by PlanNorth Architectural Company.

It is intended to go to honor deserving members of the community.

Copper Star winners are those who lead by example, show high levels of work ethic and integrity, and lead by actions and words over time.
