BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED FOR DWI

  

A Brenham man faces a DWI charge after his arrest Tuesday night by Brenham police.

Close to 9:45 p.m., Officer Navone Gurley conducted a traffic stop near the 200 block of South Blue Bell Road. 

Upon further investigation, police say they found that the driver, identified as 39-year-old Jose Garcia-Almaguer, was in possession of an open alcoholic beverage while operating a motor vehicle. 

After police conducted standardized field sobriety tests, Garcia-Almaguer was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Alcohol Container.
