CUB GOLF ADVANCES TO STATE AFTER 3RD PLACE FINISH AT REGIONALS
The Brenham Cub Golf Team has punched their ticket to the State Tournament after a third-place finish yesterday (Tuesday) at the Regional Tournament at the Margaritaville Resort in Montgomery.
Brenham wrapped up the two-day tournament with a team score of 633. They beat out Georgetown (639) by six strokes to claim the final spot.
College Station was first overall with a 623, while Austin Anderson was second with a 631.
Luke Alford led the Cubs with a two-day score of 152 to finish tenth overall individually. He posted a pair of 76's on both Monday and Tuesday.
Holton Gillentine was right behind him in 11th place individually. He shot a 78 on the first day, and 75 on the second day to finish with a 153.

Max Felder 87 + 83 = 170
Levi Dupont 85 + 86 = 171
Next up, the Cubs will head to the State Tournament, which will be held April 27-28 in Georgetown.
