BURTON VOLLEYBALL GOES 1-2 ON DAY ONE OF THE WALLER TOURNAMENT

The Burton Lady Panther Volleyball Team went 1-2 yesterday (Thursday) on the opening day of the Waller Tournament. 

In their first match, Burton lost to Lake Creek 25-22 and 25-17. Madalyn Henry had 6 kills and 6 digs, Natalie Hodde led the defense with 7 digs, and Adison Harmel dished out 17 assists.

The Lady Panthers beat Willis in their second match of the day 2-1. Burton won the first set 25-21, Willis won the second set 25-12, and then the Lady Panthers took the third set 25-18. Natalie Hodde finished with 9 kills and 10 digs, Adison Harmel led the defense with 18 digs, and Laci Broesche dished out 26 assists.

In their final match of the day, Burton lost to Conroe 2-1.  The Lady Panthers actually won the first set 25-13, and then lost the next two sets 25-20 and 25-18. Madalyn Henry had 11 kills. Adison Harmel added 16 digs, and 25 assists.

The Waller Tournament continues through Saturday.
