WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR’S OFFICE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION
Washington County Commissioners will hold an executive session regarding the Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office at their meeting on Tuesday.
The executive session discussion for personnel matters will lead what is otherwise expected to be a mostly routine meeting. Any possible action will be taken in open session.
Other items for consideration include an interlocal agreement for managing entity by the Brazos Valley Council of Governments for the Brazos Valley Wide Area Communications System (BVWACS). The court will also act on the third reinstatement of the interlocal agreement for the construction, implementation, acquisition, implementation, operation and maintenance of BVWACS.
There will also be proclamations declaring the month of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and proclaiming October 26th as the observance of Paint the Town Pink.
In other business, the court will consider:
- A presentation of the Office of Emergency Management’s quarterly report.
- Increasing juror pay from $6 to $20 per day for the first day of jury service, and from $40 to $58 for each subsequent day of service for each jury called, per House Bill 3474 in the 88th Legislative Session.
- Nominating and electing Washington County Appraisal District board members.
- A resolution for the 2023 Washington County indigent defense grant program.
- A subdivision variance request for a land division fronting Copelyn Springs Road in Precinct 1.
- A subdivision variance request for a land division fronting Jackson League Circle in Precinct 1.
- A subdivision variance request amendment for a land division fronting Affleck Road in Precinct 3.
- Discussion of a formal notice for a water service installation by PGMS across the Rehburg right-of-way in Precinct 3.
- Extending time to use vacation hours for the Expo Director.
Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
