BRENHAM WOMAN ARRESTED THURSDAY
A Brenham woman was placed under arrest Thursday for Public Intoxication.
Brenham Police report that Thursday evening at 7:00, Officers responded to the 700 block of Independence Street in reference to a complainant call. Investigation revealed Aldonia Marie Johnson, 57 of Brenham, was in the roadway, hitting peoples’ cars, and intoxicated within the public view. Johnson was taken into custody for Public Intoxication and was booked in at the Washington County Jail.

This lady is in need of mental health services. She has had a hard life and I suspect she is self medicating. If anyone can point her in the right direction, I wish that they would. She is not a bad person and is in desperate need of care and mental health therapy, along with detox. If anyone can help her, please do.
Yes she needs help, she is in bad shape,was mistreated in Waller county, that messed her up more. She was on 26 news. Brenham knows this, get her help instead of incarcerating her day after day.
Sadly, this woman has been arrested before for the same problem. She obviously needs more than incarceration. Hopefully, someone recognizes her need for assistance.
I’ve seen 3 comments here & it’s the same suggestion in each one. Why don’t one of you step up & help, opposed to talking about someone else doing the helping? It’s easy to suggest someone else help while each of you turn your backs but criticize for the lack of what’s needed. Being picked up by the local police may mean she gets a few hot meals & a place to sleep off her intoxication. There’s only so much our first responders can do; our village needs to help do our part.
