FORMER BURTON TRACK STAR INDUCTED INTO HALL OF FAME

Former Burton Panther hurdler Jeremy Jackson was inducted over the weekend into his alma mater's Hall of Fame.

Jackson went to college at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas where he was a National Champion and a four-time NCAA Division II All-American in the hurdles.

He was also a three-time conference champion, and four-time conference runner-up. PSU competes in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.

Jackson's National Championship came in 2010, where he ran the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 7.83 seconds, which was also a school record.

He also had second place finishes in the 60-meter hurdles in 2008, and the 110-meter hurdles in 2010, as well as a third place finish in the 110-meter hurdles in 2009.

In addition to track, Jackson spent two seasons on the football team, where he recorded 96 career tackles.

He was one of seven former athletes to be inducted.
