LATE RALLY GIVES HUMBLE 49-45 WIN OVER BRENHAM CUBETTES

After trailing at the end of each of the first three quarters, the Humble Lady Wildcats rallied in the fourth quarter to defeat the Brenham Cubette Basketball Team 49-45 on Monday night.

Brenham led 10-8 after the first quarter. The Cubettes also outscored Humble 11-8 in the second quarter to take a 22-16 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The Lady Wildcats outscored Brenham 15-11 in the third quarter to cut the Cubettes' lead to 32-31. Then in the the fourth quarter, Humble outscored Brenham 18-13 to win the game 49-45.

Antyiahna Lang led the Cubettes with 14 points and eight rebounds. Janiyah Mathis finished with 13 points. Carmen McWilliams had five points, and pulled down a team high nine rebounds.

Next up for Brenham (5-6), they will be taking part in the Navasota Rattler Shootout Classic Thursday-Saturday. On Thursday, the Cubettes are scheduled to face Crockett at 1pm, and La Porte at 5:30pm.
