CUBS OPEN SEASON WITH 7-0 LOSS TO FRIENDSWOOD
The Brenham Cub Baseball Team got the season off to a rough start with a 7-0 road loss to the Friendswood Mustangs last (Monday) night.
The game was scoreless going into the bottom of the second inning. The Mustangs' offense erupted for six runs off of starter Luke Hardy.
Friendswood would later score one more run off of Brett Campbell in the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly.
The Cubs used five pitchers in the game.
Offensively, Brenham managed just three hits in the game.
Next up, the Cubs will be heading to the Santa Fe Tournament this weekend. The tournament opens on Thursday with a 2pm game against Fort Bend Hightower followed by Pearland Dawson at 4pm.
