COLLEGE STATION MAN SENTENCED IN WASHINGTON CO. COURT

A College Station man, arrested in connection with several Washington County burglaries back in 2015, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

30-year old Cory James Middleton of College Station and an accomplice were suspected in a number of local burglaries in October of 2015.  The two evaded arrest following a high-speed chase that covered several counties.

Middleton was eventually arrested in Grimes County in December and charged with the Washington County burglaries.

Thursday, Middleton pleaded guilty in District Court in Brenham to Evading Arrest/Detention in a Vehicle—enhanced to a Second Degree Felony and to a charge of Burglary of a Building.

Judge Carson Campbell sentenced Middleton to 15 years on eh Evading Arrest charge and two years on the Burglary charge.

Also in District Court:

39-year old Brandon Lee Richard of Brenham was sentenced to three years in prison on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance—a Second Degree Felony.

And, 28-year old Michael Andrew Miller of Brenham was sentenced to six months in jail for Attempted Possession of a Controlled Substance.
