HIGHEST EARLY VOTING NUMBERS SO FAR FRIDAY
Friday saw the sun come out for a while, bringing out early voters with it.
Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel reports the March primary elections saw their best early voting turnout so far on Friday, with 376 voters coming to the courthouse annex to cast in-person ballots. 312 Republicans and 64 Democrats voted in their respective primaries Friday.
Numbers through four days of early voting, from Tuesday through Friday, totaled 1,125.
Weekend early voting will be available this weekend only, today (Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and tomorrow (Sunday) from noon to 3 p.m.
Early voting continues through Friday, February 28th, with extended hours on Monday and Tuesday through 7 p.m. The primary elections are set for March 3rd.
