EARLY VOTING CONTINUES AT BRISK PACE

Early voting continues at the Washington County Courthouse Annex for the March primary.

Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel says Thursday’s turnout was up over the previous two days.  The turnout included 248 Republicans and 21 Democrats casting ballots.

So far, 631 Republicans and 62 Democrats have cast early votes for a total of 693 total votes cast.

According to Rothermel, this year’s early turnout is running ahead of the early voting in the last two general elections.  620 people cast early votes in 2016; while the three-day total was 442 in 2014.

Early voting continues at the Washington County Courthouse Annex through March 2nd, Monday-thru-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., an Sunday from noon to 3:00 p.m.
