FORMER BRAZOS CO. JUDGE DIES

  

Former Brazos County Judge Randy Sims died following a brief illness. He was 75.

Sims served on the Bryan City Council and also as a county commissioner before being elected Brazos County Judge.

Sims was also a Bryan business owner, running a barbecue restaurant from the mid-1960s until the early 1990s. He was also an Aggie football player, a long-time holder of the Southwest Conference record for the longest field goal kick of 52 yards.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Bible Church, on  Anderson Street in College Station.
