SLEW OF BURGLARIES REPORTED IN BRENHAM

  

Brenham Police are investigating a series of burglaries, which were reported Tuesday morning.

Just after 7:30, Officer Ashley Burns was called to Brenham Tire and Auto, in the 600 Block of S. Blue Bell Rd.

A cash register drawer, and an undisclosed amount of cash and checks were stolen from the business.  The caller reported that the speakers and subwoofer was missing from his vehicle as well.

About an hour later, the cash register drawer was recovered.  The incident remains under investigation.

Just before 8:00 a.m., Officer Jonathan Phipps responded to All Auto Inc. in the 3500 Block of Hwy. 36 South

Someone forced entry into the business and entered the office, but no items were reported stolen.

Moments later, Corporal Jared Campbell responded to Westwood Car Wash in the 2200 Block of Hwy. 290 West.  Someone stole an undisclosed amount of cash and coins.

Officer Ashley Burns responded just after 10:00 a.m. to the Top Shop, in the 300 Block of S. Market St.

Someone had broken the business and rummaged through the office, but nothing was reported taken.

Then, around 11:00, Officer Phipps responded to the car wash in the 2100 Block of S. Market St.

An undisclosed amount of cash and coins were taken.

Police have not said whether they believe the burglaries are all connected.

  1. No way someone can convince me these burglaries aren’t connected or part of an organized crime ring.

  2. Guaranteed to all be connected. Most likely gang related as well. Brenham is not the same town it was just 5-10 years ago. The gangs are taking over and bringing their crime and narcotics with them. The police department is fighting an uphill battle.

    1. I will guarantee, if people decide to take back our town, and lay in wait for a few days and blow a couple of these low life’s to kingdom come, they won’t be quite so eager to make their living off of the backs of hard working honest people.
