BRENHAM MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON TIME FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

  

A Brenham man has been sentenced to a total of 70 years in prison  in the latest session of the 21st Judicial District Court after assaulting a woman in 2015..

25-year-old Antonio Dorsey was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in July of 2015 after he severely beat a 20-year-old female.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a call from Washington County Dispatch to Scott and White Hospital for a report of an assault.

When they arrived, they found a woman who had been severely beaten and bitten.

The victim appeared to have been beaten with open fists, as well as a hammer. It was also suspected that she had been repeatedly choked.

The young woman had multiple fractures in her face, her left arm was fractured in two locations and was dislocated. She had a fractured elbow and a septic knee. There were also indications she had been previously abused.

Dorsey was found guilty on March 31, 2017 by a jury.

He was sentenced by agreement to 40 years in prison for aggravated assault, 20 years for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, and 10 years for assault of a family member by impeding breath.

Also in the court:

22-year-old Christopher Kazmir, of Caldwell, was sentenced to 10 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division, probated 10 years after pleading guilty for manufacture/delivery of a controlled susbstance. Kazmir must also pay a $1,000 fine, court costs, $180 lab fee, $50 crime stoppers fee, perform 200 hours community service restitution, participate in drug offender education program, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, provide DNA sample, urinalysis.

29-year-old Christopher Louis Meier, of Brenham, was sentenced to 7 months in jail after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance.

39-year-old Jason Thomas Manseill, of Brenham was sentenced to 7 years of probation for possession of a controlled substance. He must also pay a $1,500 fine, court costs, $180 lab, $50 crime stoppers fee, perform 200 hours community service restitution,  participate in drug offender education program, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, provide DNA sample, urinalysis

40-year-old Lindsey Marik, of Brenham, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, probated 7 years for driving while intoxicated 3rd-third degree felony. She must also pay a $1,000 fine, court costs, $60 lab fee, $50 crime stoppers fee, $100 EMS Trauma Fund, perform 150 hours community service restitution, comply with an ignition interlock device on vehicle, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, provide DNA sample, urinalysis.
