CUBETTES SOFTBALL DROPS PAIR AT DRIPPING SPRINGS TOURNEY

The Brenham Cubettes fell twice on the opening day of the Dripping Springs softball tournament, Thursday.

In the opener, the Cubettes let a 5-1 lead slip away, as they fell to Wofforth-Frenship, 10-6.

Kenley Mikolajchak ripped a solo home run, while Kramer Eschete drove in a pair of runs with a double--all part of a four-run second inning.

But, Frenship ralliled for four runs in the second and four more in the fourth to pull away for the win.

In the nightcap, Leander jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning, and cruised to a 7-1 win.

Kramer Eschete doubled and scored the Cubettes' lone run.

The Cubettes will be back in action Friday, facing Cedar Park at 11:00 and Fredricksburg at 3:00 at the Dripping Springs Youth Sports Complex.
