BLINN TAKING FALL PERKINS GRANT APPLICATIONS THROUGH JUNE 22ND

  

Blinn College is inviting students to apply for the Perkins Grant Funds for Fall 2020.

The application is open to eligible Applied Science majors and is available until 10 a.m. Monday, June 22nd.

The Perkins Grant is a federally funded program that provides community colleges with resources to enhance and develop their technical education and career departments. Students that receive the grant can apply the money to purchase textbooks.

To be eligible, students must:

·      Be an Applied Sciences or Pre-Applied Sciences major,

·      Be registered for at least six hours for the Fall 2020 semester,

·      Maintain a 2.5 grade point average,

·      Have an active Blinn student email address,

·      Fit into one of the nine special population categories listed at www.blinn.edu/perkins-grant.

Registration for the Summer 2 semester is available now through Sunday, July 5th. Classes will begin Monday, July 6th, and will run until Monday, August 3rd. Registration for Fall 2020 is open now through Sunday, August 23rd, and classes will begin Monday, August 24th.

The Fall semester will include face-to-face, blended, and online classes, with Blinn implementing social distancing guidelines.
