ONE PERSON SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

One person pled guilty and was sentenced by Judge Carson Campbell in District Court this week. Leigh Anne Cavner, 36, of Brenham, had her probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 5 years in prison for a July 2018 possession of a controlled substance charge. Cavner was also ordered to pay a $500 fine. She was also sentenced to 1 year in state jail for a November 2019 offence of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
