BRENHAM POLICE OFFERING “OPERATION PORCH GUARD”

  

The Brenham Police Department is once again offering “Operation Porch Guard” for residents of the City of Brenham. Brenham residents can have their Holiday packages/purchases shipped to the Brenham Police Department for pickup and have one less thing to worry about while not home when those packages would typically be delivered.

Participants can address packages to: (Your name and phone number on the top line), Brenham Police Department, 1800 Longwood Drive, Brenham, TX 77833. The police department will store packages received for up to one week. Packages must weigh under 50 pounds. The name of the person picking up the package must match the name on the top line of the mailing label. Pickups require a government issued ID card or driver’s license and an order/shipment proof of receipt.

For parents picking up packages addressed to their children, the parent or legal guardian must provide proof of guardianship and/or the child’s identification. Packages can only be picked up during regular business hours at the police station, Monday through Friday, 8 AM-5 PM. Pickups will begin November 1st and will continue through December 22nd.   1. It’s a shame we have to worry so much about our personal property being subjected to theft all the time..
    But that is a Very Nice gesture by the Brenham PD…tg
