OVER 1,000 EARLY VOTERS THROUGH THURSDAY FOR MARCH PRIMARY

  

Early voting turnout for the March primary election has surpassed 1,000 voters.

According to Washington County Election Administrator Carol Jackson, 285 people cast ballots on Thursday, comprised of 248 Republicans and 37 Democrats.

Thursday’s numbers are down slightly from Wednesday’s 312 early voters.  Through four days, 1,177 people have participated in the election.

The Washington County Courthouse Annex continues to host early voting through Friday, February 25th.  It will be open today (Friday) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., tomorrow (Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Monday will not have any early voting because of the President’s Day holiday.  The courthouse annex will reopen on Tuesday, with extended hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday.  Next Friday will conclude early voting with hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Election Day is Tuesday, March 1st.
