BLUE BELL AQUATIC CENTER GEARING UP FOR NATIONAL AQUATIC WEEK
The Blue Bell Aquatic Center has a full week of fun planned in celebration of National Aquatic Week.
From Monday to Friday, July 3-7, the aquatic center will have a variety of activities for kids and families to take part in during the afternoon hours.
Assistant Aquatic Superintendent Kelsey Toy says the week is about showcasing the Aquatic Center and everything it offers to the community.
The week kicks off with Safety Day on Monday, bringing local first responders like police, fire and EMS to meet with children and provide safety demonstrations.
Tuesday will be a Fourth of July Bash, and the aquatic center will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. with Independence Day events.
Fiesta Day on Wednesday will have bean races and games like “Pin the Mustache on the Mariachi”.
Thursday is Luau Day, and limbo and hula hoop contests will be in store.
Wrapping up on Friday is Ducky Day, with duck races and other duck-themed activities.
Toy says the Aquatic Center staff looks forward to sharing summer fun with families.
Daily admission without a membership at the Aquatic Center is $5. Entry for children 3 and under is $3.
KTEX-106 will be at the Aquatic Center on Wednesday for Fiesta Day, broadcasting live from the KTEX Country Cruiser.
