The Washington County 4-H Family Night and Awards Banquet was held last (Friday) night at the Washington County Expo Center.

The event had a theme of “Top Gun”.  Various awards were presented to 4-H members for their accomplishments over the past year.

Phillips Veterinary Hospital won the Friend of 4-H Award.

The Gil Janner Family was named as the Family of the Year.

The 4-H Alumni of the Year went to Stephanie Winklemann.

Lonna Wunderlich won the Rookie of the Year Award.

The Bronze Star Awards were given to Olivia Fuchs and Brylie Mund.

The Rising Star Awards went to Colton Bilski and Candace Stringfellow.

Ali Tiemann won the Silver Star Award.

The Work Horse Awards went to McKenzie Tiemann, Corbin Janner, and Audrey Schmidt.

Meanwhile, Matthew Phillips and Dawson Rudloff won the I Dare You Awards.

The Gold Star Awards went to Addison Schramme and Madison Moran.

Several scholarships were also handed out as well. Dawson Rudloff received the Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarship, the Master Naturalist Scholarship, the La Nell Seeker Memorial 4-H Scholarship, and the Extension Education Scholarship.

Emmy Kate Boyd received the Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarship, and the Extension Education Association Scholarship.

Chet Fritsch won the Gideon Lincecum Scholarship.

They also announced the Parents Association Officers which include Christy Moran, Megan Fridye, Crystal Mikolajchak, Alicia Bilski, and Helen Philips.
