BURTON CITY COUNCIL TO MEET TUESDAY

  

The Burton City Council is expected to have a routine meeting tomorrow (Tuesday).

Among the council’s business is the renewal of an interlocal agreement for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to provide law enforcement for the City of Burton. 

Councilmembers will also look to approve amended budgets for the 2023-24 Fiscal Year, reflecting actual income and expenses from July to September of the current fiscal year. 

In other items, the council will potentially approve closing North Railroad Street from the school to FM 390 and from FM 390 to the post office drop box, and for West Texas Street to be blocked on the west side of North Railroad Street, for the Trick or Treat Trail on October 28th from 6 to 8 p.m. 

There will also be votes on a resolution for board of director nominations for the Washington County Appraisal District and a proclamation for Small Business Saturday on November 25th.

The council will meet tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. at Burton City Hall.
